If you've been to one of our branches, in the lobby or the drive-thru, you've probably noticed our VideoTellers. If not, they are the large, lime-green, and blue machines that look like an ATM, but they're so much more. So, let's talk about it.
What are VideoTellers?
They're technology with a personal touch. VideoTeller connects you directly to a specially trained 4Front Team Member through video chat. While using a VideoTeller, you can make deposits, loan payments, and withdraw cash and coins. Pretty much anything you can do in a lobby, you can do with the VideoTeller. And no, the people on the screen are not AI. They are local to right here in Michigan. Most of our VideoTeller team is in Traverse City, but we also have some team members in Zeeland and Charlevoix.
Why do we have them?
We get this question a lot. Here are 3 reasons why we added VideoTellers.
Reason 1: We can now offer expanded hours. VideoTeller is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. So, you can do your banking before or after work or when you’re doing errands on Saturday.
Reason 2: We don't lose that face-to-face connection. We like seeing and chatting with our members. With VideoTeller, we offer the option to speak face-to-face with a 4Front Team member outside our regular business hours. Adapting to provide our VideoTeller services allows us to continue to grow our team and offer the same high-quality service while remaining flexible enough to meet our members' needs.
Reason 3: In-branch VideoTellers enable our lobby team to dedicate more time to individuals requiring in-depth discussions. Opening a new account, depositing checks in bulk as a Business Member, and reviewing loans or investments take a few extra minutes. With VideoTellers, those seeking a quick transaction have an alternative to speak with 4Front team members via a VideoTeller, thus saving time.
